WELCOME TO STANTHORPE!

In 2025 the Nationals is going to Stanthorpe in the heart of the Southern Downs and Granite Belt. Your hosts, the Queensland HD & HR Holden Club Inc., have gone above and beyond for this one...partly because our last one was riddled with COVID-19 restrictions and the early lockdown so next to nobody was able to come, but mostly to make absolutely sure everyone who attendss has a brilliant experience and goes home with a huge smile on their face and some sweet trophies in their suitcase.

We're bringing a couple of new things to NATS2025, starting with this snazzy online sign-up system. If you've just scanned the QR code on the invitation bag you've just been handed and come here then, congratulations, you're already halfway to signing up for the Nats. If you're not au-fait with the technology then fear not, we're not getting rid of the paper form. You'll find that inside the invitation bag and can do it all the classic way, no worries.

Another valuable addition to the Nats we're adding, tied in with the online sign-up, is the electronic payment system, powered by Square. Our Club has been using it for a few years and it’s proven fast, reliable and (above all) safe. It’s also very easy to use. Tied to that is Afterpay/Clearpay which will give you the opportunity to pay the entry fee total off in multiple payments. Times are tough all over the country at the moment, we're all feeling it, so if you want to bring the entire family along and shout them dinner and a shirt then hold our beer, we've got your back. These electronic payment options are only available if you sign up online. After you submit your form, you'll be sent an invoice upon which you'll find the electronic payment options.

As long as we’re talking about money, hold on to your hats...we're bringing the price of entry to NATS2025 back down. We’ve set the price of a NORMAL entry (i.e. all 3-days) at an affordable $165. What’s that? That’s not good enough? OK then what about this – EARLY BIRD pricing for the NORMAL entry!

Yep, sign up and pay for all 3-days of NATS2025 before 6/10/24, and your entry fee is going to be just $150. Don't worry, we're not skimping and you won't be missing out on anything, we've just worked our tails off to get some very lucrative sponsorships behind us for this event and are absorbing that discount into the costs. And, yes, it’s to encourage you all to sign-up early rather than leaving it until the last minute so it ultimately helps all of us.

In addition to Early Bird, we’re going to allow late entries for less because they’re not getting an event shirt or goodie bag. Also being introduced is a SPECIAL ENTRY for various levels of participation on the Saturday ONLY (i.e. Show & Shine and/or Dinner) because we really want all the HDs & HRs at this event that we can get. All the info about fees and charges is included in sections 5 & 6 of the online sign-up form or you can read about it in the hard-copy Information Handout we passed around in Murray Bridge.

What else have we got? Oh yeah, we've only got a NEW JUDGING CLASS CATEGORY! In addition to all the usual - Unrestored Original, Restored Original, Era Sports, Modified, Highly-Modified and Rusty Relic - we're introducing a Custom category! We want to help bring back the Great Australian Custom Culture of the past – the days when we'd stick Firebird front ends on our panos, or Ford scoops in our bonnets, basically customise the clacker out of our pride-and-joy – so we're adding Custom into the judging roster. We also recognise that a Rat Rod is a deliberate stylistic choice and can be quite spectacular when taken seriously so we've pulled the 'RATTY' out of 'RUSTY' and made it 'FULL CUSTOM' as well. For a complete run-down of the categories, old and new, and work our where your Iron Lion is going to fit, check out the link above called [Entry Categories Explained] or read about it in the appropriate section of the paper form.

We've got a surprise in store for you all on Sunday, too. Rather than just a big group rally through a couple of nice locations and lunch at a restaurant or pub, we'll be going carienteering - that's orienteering in cars, gang! Every entrant will get a game card and a list, and at each stop there will be someone with a stamp or a punch to mark the card. Collect all the stamps then drop your completed game card in to the barrel at NATS2025 HQ after you’re done and we’ll be drawing three (3) lucky winners at the Sunday night wind-down session. The prizes will be donated by the Qld HD & HR Holden Club and they're going to be epic! We’ve roped in businesses and attractions all over the region to take part in this and we're very excited about introducing this old-school road-game to NATS2025.

There's more, so much more, we’re packing into this year’s event but, for now, please have a good look through this website, check out the links to our sponsors and, most importantly, fill out and submit the online sign-up form and start planning your trip to NATS2025 in Stanthorpe!
